Whose Dad?

I don't know if you're familiar with this show that GMA7 franchised. It's airing every Sunday night and the host is Paolo Contis. Well anyway, last Tuesday, Aloy was persistently asking my father if they could join in the said show. My father told him no because the show is intended for 8-12 year old kids and he's only 4. Aloy didn't shut up, he told my dad:

"Eh di mag exercise ka na parati, dapat araw araw para pag mag 8 na ako makasali na tayo."

Then my dad said that he'd be too old to join by that time but my little tyke was persistent (kanino ba nagmana?) and said:

"Kaya nga mag exercise ka!"

My dad shrugged off and laughed.
Well last night, Aloy was watching tv alone in our room and then we heard him shouting:

"Hahahaha! Hindi magaling ang daddy niya! Hahaha! Pangit kasi ang daddy niya!"

Yep, he's watching My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad and with the way he shouted, he was having such a great time. During commercial breaks though, he went to my dad and still tried to change his mind and asked him that they should join because he knows for sure that they'd beat the other dads and kids. When my dad said no, he turned up to my brother and said:

"O sige ninong, tayo na lang magsali kunwari ikaw na lang ang daddy ko."

And then my brother said:

"Ano ka?! Hindi kita anak at wala akong anak na pango ang ilong."

My son, who's obviously disappointed, went to my dad and said:

"Daddy sabi ni ninong pango daw ang ilong mo!"

My child is smart, crazy and not to mention, persistent. Despite the fact that he already met his real father, he never mentioned him no matter how my brother provoke him to claim Cord as his dad. Then I noticed that he has never mentioned his father's name after this incident at the hospital.

Maybe he had gotten too disappointed that he has the selective amnesia thing. And for the record, I have not yet poisoned his mind about his dad although I was really itching to do so. Haha! But I guess I don't need to.

Hello! It's amusing how kids want to show that their dads are better than the others' You know what? I have a son whose name is also Alloy but I spell his with a double L. My son's full name is Aloysius. Hope everything is well with you!
