Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms in the world!
I wasn't able to drop cards yesterday because my best friend Karen arrived from Manila so our other best friend Gergies (our driver for the day) fetched her at the airport. We were late as usual. Haha! Karen was only supposed to have a stop over for lunch but because of Gergies' convincing power, she decided to stay overnight at our house. The three of us haven't been together since our high school graduation which was like nine years ago so you understand why we had to ask Karen to stay overnight. Well anyway, while we're on our way from the airport, we began planning our events for the day. We contacted our high school classmate Rene and demanded him to treat us for lunch. Yeah, we're totally freeloaders haha. So before we went to Rene's office, we stopped by our alma mater for a photo op. It was lunch time so a few people were there. After the photo op, we headed straight to fetch Rene from his office then went to a local native restaurant for a festive lunch. For the record though, Rene didn't pay for everything hahaha. So after lunch and some photo ops again, we brought back Rene to his office and so we decided to go to Gergies' house just to hang out. Before we went to his house, we stopped by at the grocery to buy chips and ice cream.
Gergies was a gracious host, he cleaned their lanai for us so that we can rest and do some heart to heart talk. We didn't catch up on things though because even though we don't see each other, we always keep in touch, thanks to technology! So we stayed at Gergies' house for a couple of hours and he drove us back home at around 7 in the evening.
It was a fun day, I was sleepless but it was all worth it. We're planning to have a high school batch reunion next year to mark our 10th year graduation from senior high and we're all excited.
