Yipeee!

I went to school this morning with an intention to conduct a class but when I arrived, only three kids showed up. (Yey for me!) I then called my boss and told him the "dilemma" so he had no choice but to declare a week break for the kids and me too. I mean, what was he thinking when he said last week that we can't have a week break? He knows for sure that no one will show up. So now I'm off to a vacation within the portals of our home. Haha!

Anyway, Mommy Dory and the gang arrived from Cagayan de Oro on the day of my birthday and they gave me a small party since my mom wasn't around at that time. I was touched by the gesture but wasn't so happy because the kids weren't with me to celebrate since the gathering was held at Mommy's house and it was raining so hard that night so the kids couldn't come. It was then that I realized the importance of celebrating a birthday with your family - with or without a party. But yeah, the food prepared for my celebration was great, I loved it and I will always be thankful for the love given to me by Mommy Dory. After all, I'm the daughter she never had. :D

I am trying to scrap these past few days but I guess I'm having that mental scrapblock again. Uh-oh.

A Lesson Learned

This is my blog. Whatever I had posted here are my opinions. If you somehow disagree with MY OPINIONS, feel free to create a blog of YOUR OWN. Go ahead, sign up now.

I have received my book the other day and though I haven't finished reading the whole book, I have to say that I am at awe. I will eventually share my review and learnings about Kuya Kevin's book after I read the whole thing. For now, I think I need to talk to a spiritual counselor as there are some things that's been bugging me.

I just finished printing the term paper a friend ordered me to do. The task was quite hard and I wonder if I should ask from her the same rate or charge her with a much higher price. She's a regular customer (for some who doesn't know, I make term papers for a fee LOL), so what do you think?

Before I end this post, if you know someone who I can talk to through chat who can give me some spiritual advice, comment now.

My Heart is Pounding

There is no long distance about love, it always finds a way to bring hearts together no matter how many miles there are between them.

I'm feeling giddy, happy, jolly, inspired, lovely, and jumping with joy.  I've been smiling for more than 24 hours already, laughing at nothing, and I think I've gone completely insane.  First, I finally did my School Register and Class Record because of this happiness.  Second, I already finished my examination papers which will be due next week. I don't know what happened to me but I fell in love with life and living and everything about the world. I just hope this happiness will continue in the coming days, months and years. Haha! I need this. I love this!

thinking thinking, angry angry

  1. I will be very busy this week. Have to go to Davao on Thursday to submit our final layout for the yearbook but we still haven't finished them until now. Bahala na si batman. I hope our trip will be postponed so that I can attend my friend's birthday celebration on Friday. I miss her company.
  2. I have two ultimate plans for this year. They're kinda simple but I want to accomplish them no matter what. First, I want to donate blood at least once. Second, I want to go and visit Iligan City again. I so miss Iligan's waterfalls and lifestyle I really wanna go back there....with Aloy this time so that he can meet his relatives there.

counting my days (part ewan ko..)

This week will be our final exams week and then we will start practicing for our graduation rites. Finally! I will be able to hold my much awaited diploma. And not only that, I might have a chance to be in the honors list for this semester - and I only realized that until last night when my prof showed me my grades. Yipee! Although chances for cum laude is not possible, at least I get to end my academic year right. At least I can tell my kids that even though loka loka ang nanay nila, mataas naman ang grades. I'm so happy.

Last week was the worst week I ever had. Caitlin just got out of the hospital then Caillou got very sick (thank goodness he wasn't hospitalized) and I have a lot of deadlines to meet. I was very frustrated, I don't know anymore how to juggle my responsibilities at home and in school. But I managed to get through it all. And Mr. Pogi gave me a very high mark for my non-teaching performance, now that's something! And one more thing, my friend won in the student council election yesterday. Goes to show that good things happen to good people. Naks!

Stay positive y'all! Happy weekend!

pakisabi lang

Bottom line, I do not deny that I have kids from different men.

Bottom line, I do not hide my kids.

Bottom line, I am proud of myself for standing up once again after a very bad fall.

So keep your mouth shut and don't think that what you're spreading around will not reach me.
Keep your mouth shut if you don't want me to say something about your daughter.
If you think that I am a dirty woman, ano na lang ang anak mo?
I've tried to understand you all this time, but now I've had enough.
You're saying that I am my mother's karma?
Ang karma, una-unahan lang yan.

At least when I got pregnant I know who the father is. Your daughter's lucky she has a problem with her reproductive system.
Auntie pa man din ang tawag ko sayo.

(Pakisabi lang)

Meet the Zaidos

It was our friend's birthday yesterday and he had an emergency/on-the-spot celebration. They fetched me at already past 7pm and I'm not really in the mood to go but Pam asked permission from my mom so I went na lang. We had dinner and more pictorials after.
We declared the night as Zaido Night. We were all in Zaido mood so ayan ang nangyari.

This was taken at the Office of the Regional Governor.

LOL.

fast blog

Issue #1: 6 weeks on the way!

They're having a baby! I'm happy for both K and J, and though wedding plans are still vague at this moment, I'm still psyched at the thought of them having their own angel. When K told me about her pregnancy, I thought she was kidding. When she showed me her ultrasound result and pregnancy tests, I was a bit worried but then I saw her face-- she's calm, glowing, and very at peace. I'm really happy for them and I hope that they will be good parents to their child in the future.

Issue #2: KMQ on the block!

After 10 (++) years, I met Kristine (leftmost) for the first time again. Kristine's our classmate-kababata-friend since elementary but she went to Pisay during high school and we haven't seen her since our 1996 elementary graduation. We wrote letters and managed to text each other during college but when I got pregnant, our communication went pft. Luckily, she saw my mom at the mall a day before New Year so she hunted me. She asked for my number but never gave her number back. What I did was I asked for her contact number from our common friend and demanded a treat from her. We had a great time catching up, it didn't feel like we haven't seen each other for almost twelve years. Now that's my definition of a friend.

Issue #3: The Real Deal

I was pondering last night about my career path. I want to educate children from the rural areas and I believe that that's my purpose in this world. However, I need to earn money to compensate for my kids' needs too. So I'm torn. Is there a job that caters to my passion that makes good money as well? I'm thinking of working for an NGO, but I have little information about NGOs. Help!

i know ive been tagged but..

I'm quite busy because I was tasked to facilitate for tomorrow's reach-out-slash-christmas-party-for-streetchildren as a yearly tradition in our school. I think I will also conduct a lecture tomorrow. Ugh.

Anyhoo, I want to ask for suggestions for Caitlin and Caillou's clothes for their first birthday party. Can anyone send me pictures of dresses/suits that will suit them? Please please, I'm really busy these days.

Send the pics at cmars2@gmail.com. Your replies will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Now tell me who wants to live in Cotabato?

And what if I tell you that all of these security measures are only because of the State of the Region Address that transpired yesterday? The soldiers are manning the whole town like there's a war. But the question is: ZERO CRIME RATE BA NAMAN? The answer is NO. Tsk tsk. And ang nakakainis pa nito, whenever the soldiers see the regional governor's vehicle, they were shouting "TABI KAYO! TABI!" as if they own the whole Cotabato City. It's really disgusting. All exit points have security kuno, pero meron pa ring nahohold-up. So tell me, you wanna live in Cotabato? It's depressing to see my hometown like this. As if Zaldy Ampatuan feeds us all.

jobless. loathing. worrying. etc.

  1. I am now jobless. I had to resign from my tutorial job because I have my internship this sem. I am jobless. I should kiss away my capricious wants for at least 6 months.
  2. I hate DOMs. I visited a friend's house the other day and a very untoward incident happened to me that I have to ask a friend to fetch me from there. A DOM was smitten by the friend who fetched me and the he keeps on calling me and asking me to hook them up. For chrissake I said NO. He showed me a bagful of money that he can give me and my friend and that's where I freaked out and told him: "Kahit ilang milyon pa ang ibigay mo, hinding-hindi papatol sayo ang kaibigan ko dahil mas mayaman pa sya sayo." The DOM stopped calling me after that. Thank God.
  3. I was elected president of our internship group the other day too. 'Course I felt elated but I didn't know that I have a lot of responsibilities with my groupmates. One, I will always be their spokesperson. Two, I will assist them with their lesson planning. Three, I will be the one to text all 30+ of them when needed (e.g. announcements). Fourth, I will have to make a speech during our Sending Off ceremony to present our group. The gravity of my third responsibility is not that heavy but if you know me, I always have no load. And I'm BEST IN KATAMARAN when it comes to texting. So goodluck to me. LOL.
  4. I miss my kids. I leave the house at 6:30am so that I won't be late for my 7am class and I go home at 8pm because I still have to attend my tutorial class at night. Argh.
  5. I really hate that DOM.

Undas News

COTABATO CITY— A fire of still unknown origin razed about 120 houses in a squatters’ colony built over a World War II cemetery here, ironically, on All Souls’ Day.
City Fire Marshall Adam Guiamad said the fire started in one of the houses on Sinsuat Avenue in Purok Mamaw at around noon and spread to an adjacent Shell gas station, slightly burning its facade.
Adam said authorities were still trying to find out the extent of the damage. Retired Col. Mokamad Adil, a war veteran, said the area used to be a cemetery during the time of the Japanese occupation. “But since the area was abandoned as a burial place, city migrants built houses on it,” he said.

Fast Fact: According to stories, the place was called Purok Mamaw because it's an abandoned cemetery and when people started squatting the area, poltergeists started appearing to the homes of the residents.

The pictures below are the ruins of the fire.

a million thanks to you..

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who greeted me during my birthday. I was really touched although ako na mismo ang nagsabi na i-greet nyo ako. Haha.
Thanks! Thanks from the bottom of my heart. Actually, this year ang pinakamaraming nag-greet sakin. I advertise ba naman ang birthday at magmakaawa na i-greet ako. LOL!

A conversation with a hired killer, and more!

Two days ago, restless and on the verge of crying, I went inside an internet cafe fronting our school. Two guys opened the door for me, they were wearing military uniforms with high powered guns on their sides. Without thinking, I asked them an outrageous question which made one of them jump. The question? Meron ba kayong granada dyan? May papasabugin lang ako. So the conversation started there...
Killer1 (K1): Sinong pasasabugin mo?
ME: Bahay lang, doon lang sa may garahe lang nila itapon yung
granada.
K1: Gusto mo barilin na lang namin? Ano gusto mo, tamaan lang o
patayin?
ME: Ayoko ng baril, granada lang. Parang bomb scare lang sa loob ng
compound nila.
K2: Alam mo mas maganda kung barilin para tumanda. Sabihin mo lang, for
hire man kami.
ME: Ows? Atik ka dyan.
K1: Totoo. Pero hindi kami nagpapa-hire dito sa Cotabato, sa ibang
lugar lang para madali ang pagtakas.
ME: Saang lugar pala kayo hina-hire?
K2: Basta. Kinse mil lang ang bayad, pero kung ikaw libre na tutal
kilala ka naman namin Mars.
(Okay, so I was shocked that they know my name)
ME: Granada na lang kasi. Complicated yan pag barilin pa.
(What the hell was I thinking?!)

K2: Mahirap ang granada. Baril na lang, sino ba yan?
ME: Basta. (sabay labas ng cafe)

I sounded so serious the whole time and I don't know what got me into thinking/scheming such an act. It was soooo not me.

As for the more! part in my title...
Well, yesterday a new yaya applied for a job and because Ate Jo really needs a help with the twins, my mom immediately hired the girl. But before she went inside our house, she asked for a cash advance and my mom almost stumbled with what she said. LOL. Twas so funny. My mom told the girl that she can have her money the next day (today) because she had no money yesterday. But surprise surprise, the girl did not show up this morning (she's a stay-out helper). People are so complex. Tsk tsk, sad.

not so LUCKY ME

This is what I saw inside Lucky Me instant mami when I attempted to eat instant noodles for breakfast yesterday. No kidding! I was so disappointed with Lucky Me. They have lots of money to pay for celebrity endorsers but they cannot ensure the cleanliness of their products. Tsk tsk.

I'm sick for five days now, I have an on-off fever, terrible cough, and a runny nose.

snippets of thoughts

We were supposed to have an oral recitation about Melville's Moby Dick this afternoon but we bargained with our prof to have the recitation next meeting and surprisingly, he agreed. When our prof entered the room, my classmates were so nervous because they haven't read the novel yet. Then all of a sudden, a gay member in the class shouted: "AYAN NA SI MOBY DICK! AT TAYO ANG CREW SA SHIP NA PAPATAY SA KANYA! CHOS!" Obviously, we roared with laughter.

My day's great. Nothing big happened but I'm glad that I'm not absent from class today.

mano po ninang

I went to the school where I'm tasked to observe the learner's development and the teacher's strategies and when I was about to leave the campus, a boy went up to me, held my hand and did the "mano po ninang" gesture. I smiled at him and said hi..... without knowing who he is. Gawd, I'm so mean! I can't remember my own godchild!

I had my first Ninang invasion when I was in fifth grade and from then on, I became a candidate for every baptismal of the children of my cousins, friends, neighbors, my mom's officemates, to people I'm not really closely related to. I told myself a few months back that I should keep a list of all my godchildren so that I'll know whose child I am responsible for when something happens to their parents (wag naman sana).

So anyhoo, I will really start on making that list this month. It's really a shame to not remember the children entrusted to me by their parents - considering that the kids know me pa naman talaga. Nakakahiya. But I really melted with the boy's gesture. Aba iilan na lang ata yung hindi nahihiyang lumapit para magmano lalo na pag adolescent na. Talking about this now makes me feel old. LOL.

I watched the verdict for former Pres. Estrada this morning and I promised myself to write something about it here. But then, I felt that the incident in school is much more important. And less intriguing. LOL, playing safe ang lola nyo.

wild weekend

The whole gang (a.k.a. family) was out of town for the weekend. My dad went to GenSan and my mom, along with the Aloy and my bro, went to Marbel to attend a birthday + shopping. Pratically, I was alone with the twins and their yayas.

Saturday:
I was thinking of going out in the morning but I was too lazy so I ended up slouching in front of the tv. At around 1pm, I decided to text my friends and I invited them to go out that night. Unfortunately, only one answered my text. *teehee* Anyhoo, at around 6pm, I was once again conquered by my laziness so medyo tinamad na akong lumabas. By 7, Pam asked me if our plan will push through so I felt a sudden adrenaline rush and I went inside my room to change clothes and put on my make up. Voila! Hot momma in less than 10minutes! LOL. Anyway, we went to Cafe Florencio to grab some drinks and catch up on each others' lives. In the middle of our conversation, we received drinks from the guys adjacent to our table, we didn't thank them because we were too shy. The guys asked us if they could join us but we told them no because we were having a serious talk. Luckily, they backed off but they talk to us during "intervals". They keep on telling us that they own this and that but we weren'e interested because: #1. They're old. #2. We went out not to fish for guys especially DOMs.
So anyway, before the guys went home, they offered us a lift home but obviously, we declined so they paid for our tab instead. Lucky lucky! LOL. Pam's angry brother fetched us from Cafe Florencio and drove us home. He's angry because we disturbed him from his sleep. LOL

Sunday:
I was too drunk. Hangover galore. I slept the whole day, took Advil, and asked Cail's caregiver to massage my back. Boy I was vomiting the whole morning and my headache's killing me. I recuperated before my dad arrived from GenSan, good for me. LOL.

Laughing moment:
Ate Jo, Cail's caregiver, lectured me while she was massaging my back and she said:
"Kasi si ate nag inom inom. Nagpahubog di man pala kaya. Yan tuloy."

dengue.. tsk tsk..

My niece almost died because of dengue. She was admitted to the hospital Tuesday of last week because she has a fever and her temperature's not going down. She had a blood transfusion last Wednesday and she was declared clinically dead for almost an hour Thursday night. We were all crying, we almost lost her. By God's grace, the doctors were able to revive her.

God is really good because she's recuperating very well right now. She may be discharged tomorrow or on Friday.

That's all I can say. I'm drained.
